Reaching unserved refugee markets in Uganda: Insights from case studies on energy access

The majority of Uganda’s 1M+ refugees lack access to clean and affordable energy. An opportunity exists for the private sector to collaborate with humanitarian organizations and development partners to provide market-based solutions and improve livelihoods in a commercially viable way. This report summarizes energy access case studies on private sector engagement in humanitarian settings and provides key insights and learnings to inform future activities.
